Alliance Los Angeles and Nike (NYSE: NKE -2.33%) sportswear continues their long-term partnership, launching a new Nike Dunk Low silhouette.
The first image of this upcoming sneaker shows a lavender upper and a light blue overlay with a mesh-like textured fabric. Orange contrast stitching is applied throughout, and the horizontal swish and heel label appear in off-white tones. A bright yellow UN/LA fabric tag was found on the side and the Union’s signature Frontman logo dotted on the side heel counter and blue translucent bottom. An oversized co-branded luggage tag can be seen connected to the double finish appearance.
The Frontman logo was used very early in the history of Union. It was deactivated for a period of time due to some internal problems, and then re-used on the 30th anniversary of the brand. Many people guess what this silhouette refers to. Some people speculate that this silhouette refers to dancers, skaters, and some kind of angels. Union recently revealed that it was inspired by Lorraine Hansbury’s film "Under the Sun". A scene in "Raisins".
