Making big money in GTA 5 story mode is less about grinding shops and more about timing. Lester's assassination missions are the trick, because every hit pushes one company up and knocks another one down. If you're starting fresh, some players even look at GTA V Accounts to skip the slow early-game build-up, but if you're playing through normally, the smartest move is simple: save most of Lester's optional jobs until after the main story, when Michael, Franklin, and Trevor have far more cash to invest.



Why Lester's missions matter
The game forces you to complete The Hotel Assassination during the story, so you can't avoid that one. Before starting it, put all three characters' money into Betta Pharmaceuticals on BAWSAQ, finish the mission, then sell when the profit lands around 50 percent. After that, buy Bilkinton Research on LCN and wait for the rebound. This can take about a day in-game, sometimes a bit longer, so don't panic if the price doesn't jump right away. Sleep, check the market, and sell when the return looks strong.



The order that pays best
After the main campaign, work through the remaining assassinations one at a time. For The Multi Target Assassination, buy Debonaire before the job, sell at roughly 60 to 90 percent, then move everything into Redwood and wait several in-game days for the bounce. For The Vice Assassination, buy Fruit before the mission, sell after the rise, then buy Facade and cash out after it recovers. For The Bus Assassination, don't invest before the hit. Buy Vapid after the mission instead, then wait for the price to climb. For The Construction Assassination, invest in Gold Coast before starting and sell once it reaches about 80 percent profit.



Timing beats guesswork
LCN and BAWSAQ don't behave in exactly the same way. BAWSAQ stocks often move fast after a mission, so check them almost immediately. LCN stocks are slower and may need a full in-game day, or several days when you're waiting for a damaged company to recover. A good habit is to save in a new slot before each mission and again before sleeping to advance time. If you miss the peak, reload. It's a bit fussy, sure, but it's better than watching millions slip away because you got greedy for one more percentage point.



Playing the market after the big scores
Once Lester's missions are done, the safe money is already made. You can still play the LCN market by watching rival companies such as Redwood and Debonaire, FlyUS and AirEmu, or eCola and Raine, but those moves aren't guaranteed like the assassination setups. Buy low, sell when the graph starts to look tired, and don't tie up every dollar in one stock. If you'd rather jump straight into a richer save or a different setup, some players choose to buy GTA V Accounts and spend their time on cars, properties, and chaos instead of staring at market charts.
